Checklist for Gluten Free Travel – kitchen items

Since we stick to a strict gluten free diet, when we travel we take a box of cooking equipment with us and stay at a place that has a kitchen (usually a Homewood Suites or a Residence Inn). I keep a copy of the following list of supplies to use for easy packing. For some trips I don’t need every item listed, but I like to have one comprehensive list.

cutting board

collander

knife

kitchen scissors

peeler

can opener

cheese grater

tongs

spatula (for scraping)

spatula (for flipping in the pan)

wooden spoon

fry pan

medium sized pot

sponge

dish soap

ziplock bags

foil

paper towels

Everything actually fits into one reasonably sized box, so if we are driving somewhere, space is not an issue. When we fly, we are usually going to the same place to visit family. So we actually have stashed a minimal kitchen equipment box at one of their houses!
